Speech Language Pathologist(SLP)

The Speech-Language Pathologist will screen, evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders while providing services to students throughout Upper Darby School District. The SLP will collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary professionals to develop cohesive treatment plans, establish measurable goals, and support student progress. Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and AAC devices is preferred. Other SLPs will be available within the buildings to provide support.

• Conduct comprehensive student screenings and evaluations in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and applicable requirements.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care and IEP goals based on student needs.
• Provide speech-language therapy utilizing appropriate assessment, treatment, behavior management, and communication strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate related services and monitor student progress.
• Provide education and training to families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation and billing accurately and in accordance with district, contract, and payer requirements.
• Participate in appropriate transition/discharge planning and family or student education.
• Provide direction and supervision to Speech Therapy Assistants, Clinical Fellows, interns, and students as needed and permitted by applicable regulations.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized therapy environment and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current, active license to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Ability to comply with applicable state, federal, professional, and district requirements.

• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship.
• School-based Speech-Language Pathology experience.
• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational teams.

• Short-term 12-week assignment beginning in November.
• Consistent five-day-per-week schedule.
• $50.00 per hour.
