Licensed Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Psychologist for a full-time opportunity at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. The Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, testing, and evidence-based treatment to adult patients within a collaborative military healthcare environment.

• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral information as appropriate.

• Establish psychiatric diagnoses in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

• Provide psychological treatment to individuals and groups.

• Assist medical and surgical patients in coping with illnesses or injuries and support patient rehabilitation.

• Perform psychological testing and provide appropriate interpretation and documentation of testing results.

• Participate in rotational walk-in coverage.

• Provide training to junior providers and enlisted personnel upon request.

• Contribute to clinical innovation and continuous improvement through the application of current evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Practice in accordance with applicable licensing requirements, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and Military Treatment Facility privileges.

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an American Psychological Association-accredited college or university.

• Successful completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force.

• Minimum of 24 months of full-time post-licensure experience within the previous 36 months evaluating and treating adult patients with mental and emotional disorders.

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist.

• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

• Ability to successfully complete required Government background investigation/security clearance requirements.

• Must meet Defense Health Agency clinical privileging requirements, including evidence of current clinical practice and active practice within the discipline during the previous two years. Documentation must include professional references and verified privilege lists.

• Experience providing psychological services within a military, federal, or similar multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

• Experience utilizing current evidence-based psychological treatment modalities.

• Experience providing clinical education, training, or mentorship to other healthcare professionals.

• Consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule.
