Compensation: $80,000/annually

Role Summary

Make a lasting difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year! In this itinerant role, you'll provide speech-language services to preschool through 12th-grade students with communication disorders in both special and general education settings. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students strengthen their communication skills and achieve academic and social success in a supportive, school-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen, evaluate, select, and schedule caseload; provide therapy services, including in-class intervention for students with communication disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, peers, other support staff, parents, and the community.
  • Adapt the professional role of speech/language pathology to the public schools.
  • Develop appropriate Individual Education Programs (IEPs) goals and objectives

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of State and school district rules and regulations
  • Assessing students and providing feedback as a member of an evaluation team.
  • Programming activities to promote communication interaction objectives.
  • Programming based on the developmental level of students and functional skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current, active WA State Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Possess or qualify for immediate issuance of an Educational Staff Associate certificate for speech-language pathologist.
  • Experience in working with students with mild, moderate and severe disabilities.
